Saga of “Crabby Craig” the Morton’s Neuroma
Thursday, August 20th, 2009The story begins with a female patient that was diagnosed with a Morton’s Neuroma and she had surgery in August 2008.
She was told that he would be back to playing tennis in 6 weeks. One year later she could barely walk with out pain.
She has seen all types of foot experts, tried orthotics, acupuncture, acupressure, myofacial therapist, podiatrist, and 0rtho surgeons to her Foot “Crabby Craig” not give her intense pain with each step.
So at this point she is thinking she has a “failed” Morton’s Neuroma surgery. She was given the name on one expert ortho surgeon that is a leading expert in foot surgery in Los Angeles. She was told by other qualified doctors that this was the doctor that they would let do surgery on their foot.
So on the 19th “Crabby Craig” met his match in the Operating room in Los Angeles yesterday. We will be doing updates on the post op progress of Crabby Craig, and see if this surgery did the trick. The surgeon said he found a “VERY swollen nerve” removed it… and we are waiting to see the pics.

24 hours post op the nerve block from the surgery is wearing off. Pain is being managed with ice and elevation as well as anti-inflammatory medications, and pain medication. Some swelling, foot is a bit hotter than the other foot.
Crabby Craig’s owner is resting comfortably this evening.
