Patient Advocate coordinated this Christmas Stocking event.
The teens from the Santa Maria Pony Club helped to make residents at Ingleside Assisted Living experience Christmas from their past by helping them make their Christmas Stockings. They came away with a greater appreciation for Elders, and the Elders enjoyed the companionship and patience of the teens.
What a winning Christmas gift for both age groups.
Some of the residents were not able to join the group project, so the teens went to their rooms and assisted them with the creation of a Christmas stocking.  If they were not feeling well enough to make their own… then
they made one for them. On Christmas Day, there will be special surprises in each stocking.
Sharing your Christmas cookies, candy and TIME is the best Christmas gift ever!
My Mom is going to have her first Christmas in heaven this year.
She taught me well over the years to PAY IT FORWARD!
